Get a new mouse, that's how the problem got fixed for me.
Your mouse cannot recognise being pressed and held down for long, necessary for drag and drop.

Does anybody know which mouse Magnus Carlsen uses? His mouse always drops the pieces on the perfect squares. My mouse doesnt do that. It always misses the best squares. :-(
ye If u turn on move confirmation in bullet it don't work im pretty sure but I play rapid so I could be wrong

This happened to me and it was a USB hub causing the issue.
