Unlimited, stronger game analysis on lichess.org

Great job, the new analysis feature looks very promising on powerful hardware, otherwise fishnet is still way way faster.

One quetsion though - who exactly gets credited with publishing a fishnet analysis? (info just got added with this update) Aren't the moves done in parallel on many machines simultaneously?

Now the info reads "fishnet unknown" instead of some lichess handle. Guess it was 'fixed' so the original question is moot.

You would not be restricted to 1 million nodes, 40 games a day, or 200 per week if evaluation could use the Stockfish in your browser.

So I added a game evaluation feature that uses your device's CPU in the hopes that Lichess will adopt it. I've put it up on a public test server in case any user or Lichess volunteer wants to check it out.

Please:

how many ms per move does standart mean ? , the next upgrade is 2 seconds but for the first options it doesent show Bild 16.10.26 um 22.29.png

Standard means 1M nodes per move, so the time steps might mean much better or much worse depending on your hardware.

A nodes per move slider would be more consistent I think. The good news is once analysis starts it's actually showing the fraction of standard that you're getting at the chosen setting.

1 m nodes is the same amount than server analyis right ? , then whats the point of that option

I read up a bit more of the OP's post and it seems it might have been intended to serve the following purpose:

if your analysis is better than standard you might have the option of uploading (/publishing/) it to the server.

Sorry if I was confused earlier about publishing credit if that's what I was seeing. However I could swear I ordered a fishnet analysis so there was no way someone just uploaded his in those few seconds.

@najdorfplayer48 can you confirm the upload feature is available as originally envisioned?

there is no upload feature but you can check if you can still see it

, also i meant what is the point of the 1 m nod option not the feature in general

Then I'm guessing the point is to guarantee identical analysis quality to fishnet's regardless of hardware.

@najdorfplayer48 Once local analysis on your end finished with a ratio of over 1x, no aditional button appeared? If so, security concerns around this feature were too serious I suppose.

yes , what security concerns ?

ok thank you, that clarifies my earlier obervations about lichess handles being credited with fishnet analysis at least :)

If I understand correctly, there was a risk of uploading bogus analysis to the server.
