Not at all, @tpr. Quite to the contrary.
He began to protect Isreal long before the ICC got involved. And his actions will always be greeted by both agreement and disagreement.
Indeed, he acts DESPITE both threats and criticism. And every October 7, I believe he'll remember why he does.
There are other examples in history of men acting in such a way. In Texas, they still remember the Alamo. World War II vets still remember Pearl Harbor. And most Americans still remember 911.
Their reactions aren't guided by the ICC or by the need for political favor, and are not at all inspired by cowardice, moral or otherwise.
"Protecting the people" are lies by insane leaders.
They use it to get power by stupid people.
Then they fuel the conflict as to have something to protect from.
This have been going on for all of human history.
If they were interested in protecting the people
they would work for peace.
For some unfathomable reason

When America was attacked on December 7 or September 11, were they "insane" or "stupid" or engaged in "idiocy" for responding with more than a "naughty naughty!" and an appeal to the United Nations?
I always notice when insults show up instead of substantive responses. I suspect I am hardly alone in that.
But who knows? The world is awash in propaganda right now, and many are persuaded or don't wish to disappoint whomever they perceive to be their peers.
I have told many times our leaders are insane.
The Japanese leaders of WW2 were insane.
I repeat, and please concentrate:
Our leaders are insane!
All over the world,
throughout time.
Leaders of nations.
Leaders of big companies,
oil, tobacco, e.t.c.
Leaders of crime organizations,
of terrorist organizations.
E.t.c
All insane.
Look at the history of the world.
Does it signify intelligence?
Sanity?
Convince me that we have had sane leaders.

But calling me, or anybody else, crazy doesn't really seem like a substantive response, to me. It seems more like repeatedly and stridently voiced emotion in the face of a frustrating refusal by others to simply nod along with somebody else's view.
Defending is perfectly fine.
That does not give permission to do atrocities.
