I do few things "always," @Wreckfestdude.
But if I do what you describe -- and in my last post, above, I admittedly came close to doing it (although the early appearance of "my" in the post leaves the question a bit arguable) -- does it make you uneasy?
If so, is it my lack of flaps? A lack of flaps DOES take a bit of getting used to. Often, a lack of flaps goes hand in hand with being a tail dragger, and as we all know tail draggers are rather, uh, exciting to taxi. It's often said that one must fly them all the way into the hanger!
They're not for everybody, and neither, I'm sure, am I.
But with effort, most folks can get used to anything. And I hope you'll get used to the way I write. Or you can look away in disgust, if accommodating it seems a bridge too far. But I suspect we can get along just fine, since we're both reasonable people.

That's what I was going to argue. It doesn't make me uneasy, or even bother me at all. I just wanted to know if it was intentional or not. In this case, at least, it seems unintentional. I knew a guy who always spoke in first person for his first 2 sentences, and then from there he would refer to himself in the third person, using "[his name]", "his", "theirs", or "that guy's" instead of "I" , "my", or "myself".

Almost never do I type randomly, or without intention. I try to land each sentence and fly it all the way into the hanger. Some landings are better than others, of course. But I believe I don't metaphorically ground loop very often, even in a stiff crosswind.
And sometimes this forum provides plenty of metaphorical crosswind. Indeed, sometimes there's quite a bit of turbulence, too, as currents of hot air rise and toss us all about.
But gamers are quite okay with me, and they never cause me damage, emotional or otherwise, even unintentionally. Indeed, we gamers tend to have much in common, and most of it -- I insist -- is delightful.

Edit: Oooh shoot! I meant to say "I just got handed a nice helping..." I need to pay attention to my grammar!! Even demo derby people need to spell out their ABC's once in a while, I guess...must refresh memory.
Edit 2: I fixed the error. Hopefully it makes more sense now!
