US midterms: which polls are sound?

"Notice which countries have been hit with missiles."

  • Israel and the USA have hit Iran. Iran has hit back Israel and US military bases.

I avoid all threads. What a waste of time!

I took a prominent example of a Trump rally attendance, according to pro-Trump media. The evidence I was able to fetch is rather unconvincing in terms of popularity. From the videos and images, I estimate two thousand attendees. Waiting in line for 8 hours is no evidence of massive support. It does however hint commitment.

Trump has a sizeable following in the US, and the republican hard core sta...

it’s so important to vote in these non-presidential elections.

hopefully there’s no funny business with the tallying but you hear stories so that means it’s possible. but still vote

edit-it’s also important to vote in the presidential election, but not for the president itself as the electoral college are the voters that decide that vote.

It isn't just military bases hit in Iran's neighbors. Indeed, even civilian airports aren't safe from attack.

Furthermore, funding those who terrorize others and kill vast numbers of innocents can't just be distracted away.

On a different note, those who cry about high prices, and think Democrats are the solution, don't seem to be paying attention to reality. Prices are mostly high because of what happened during Biden's four years. Inflation (the rate of increase) has come down since the middle of Biden's term and is actually not very high in the US right now. Don't believe me -- check.

Democrats have ironically used affordability as a talking point. But their policies don't really lower prices. Think back. You think they'll make gas more plentiful, less taxed, and cheaper? Really? Are you in the market for a bridge, if so?

Will you move to California or New York to get lower gas prices? Really?

Quick -- it must be time for a scornful emoji or a distraction.

I think it is important to remember that polls ( though they pretend to be ) are not actually free and independent ( no matter which side of the aisle you stand on) . Pollsters are people who do choose who they poll and as such are subject to their own prejudices pro or con.. We asked 1000 people ( well which 1000) and our poll shows this...
Really though demographics do make a difference depending upon who you ask and as such are subject to manipulation to support a particular agenda.
Please notice i do not point a finger in any particular direction.
Trends are biased upon your data base, so if you cherry pick your data base your results are skewed and perhaps an inaccurate representation of the populace.
In spite of saying all that i do believe polls do have some value as an indicator of prevailing opinion though you should ask yourself whose prevailing opinion..
Manipulation and opinion shaping is so prevalent in the media and it's important to remember media personalities have their masters with their own agendas...
Who's to be trusted ( per the OP)
I really don't know, So much spin doctoring and half truths out there. I think someone once said truth is subjective.
I think it's important to recognize manipulation and to consider the overall scenario rather than i narrow slice
I think it is rather important to

Think for yourself

Bernie Sanders & AOC "Fight Oligarchy" Tour Turnouts

• Los Angeles, CA (April 13, 2025): 36,000 attendees
• Folsom, CA (April 16, 2025): Over 30,000 attendees
• Denver, CO (March 2025): 30,000 attendees (reported by team)
• Salt Lake City, UT: 15,000-seat arena filled to capacity with overflow outside

Donald Trump Rally Turnouts

• Warren, MI (April 29, 2025): ~4,000 attendees at Macomb Community College's Sports & Expo Center (with reports noting empty seats and ~3,000 protesters outside)"

Trump doesn't stand a chance. Aoc/bernie fill stadiums on the regular. Trump can barely fill a 10x less capacity

Believe what you wish, @greatJaromie, and cherry pick as you choose -- ignoring the biggest Trump turnouts.

Do you think gas prices are lower in Democrat-ruled California and New York? Well?

I don't predict much of an answer for that one. Since the answer is already obvious.

Yet many on the Left are temporarily pretending to be the real champions of lower fuel prices. Fascinating. The market price of bridges must be going up!

Distraction. Distraction. Like releasing the Epstein files? Or starting a war of choice that drives up prices to avoid releasing the Epstein filesss?

We can't go back to the way things were before. Why do you pretend like we can?

I ask this question so you don't have to respond to the one about the Epstein files-in case you need an excuse to avoid critical thoughts on such topics-like Deepseek and Tiananmen square.

You think it's Trump that's afraid of the Epstein files? Hahaahhaahaa.

Epstein didn't like Trump, as was clearly reported. Trump broke away from friendship with Epstein years ago. WAY before many Democrats and A-listers. Don't believe me -- research it. It's not Trump who shows up again and again on pertinent plane logs, bud.

Biden could have disclosed Epstein files for four years. Trump actually has.

The Epstein files present a stale and quite ineffective talking point. Notice how long it's been since it's even been a current talking point, really. One of the two current talking points is "affordability" -- as if Biden's term, with Democrat control of Congress, was a blessing with regard to inflation. lol.

You might want to research that, too!

The other talking point (although it's beginning to look pretty silly, too) is "Trump is a threat to democracy." THIS when some Democrat-controlled states tried to keep Trump off the ballot, and object to requiring ID -- just ID -- to vote.

Hahahahha. Oh, no! You need ID to buy booze, or rent an apartment, or get into some Democrat events, or a million other things. But ID to vote? Oh noooooo. That's a "threat to democracy" in the minds of many Democrats.

Why? Seriously. Why? I think adult citizens really can get ID. They aren't helpless, typically. It seems condescending, even insulting, to pretend otherwise. But people argue as they must, I guess.

Trump doesn't even drink. Sorry.
