  • I took my response from a medical doctor when I was in that situation. He gave me a choice to either go to a local hospital to get an infuse with re-hydration fluid, or to drink Sprite. The latter would take more time. I chose the latter.

Look for a better doctor.

lollllll why do you say so.... frrrr i swear didn't think of this.. omgggg God is great.. water is the only yhing that won't corrode your teeth.. ooh.. chewing is gonna get really weird :fear_emoji after a a few weeks.. depending on the person u might actually die before 1yr

  • I was abroad, the doctor was the only one I could consult, and he was used to treat tourists.
    Pharmacies sell oral rehydration solution for such cases, but not where I was.
    Apparently sprite comes close.
    At least it worked for me.
    Water is a good beverage, but unsuitable for re-hydration because it lacks electrolytes.
    That is also the reason athletes drink sports drinks, not water.
