In some countries it did fail though. They out kid with special problems in normal classes so the teacher doesn't have resources to deal with them. It means the teacher spends like 90% of the time on the two special kids and there's very little time for the rest.

What I have in mind is discrimination . I was studying at university with someone almost blind. Discriminating against him would have been cruel and unfair .

Are you sure Afd is having this in mind because they want to help teachers ? I would bet Afd's racism is against all diversity, equality programs - period !

I don't know?

Just so this doesn't become a discussion about words

In some countries "inclusion" in education meant what I described above. That you take high-demand children for instance autists and put them in a normal class which disrupts the entire class and lowers the quality for everyone.

So I assumed AfD was taljing about that.

If it just means giving blind people and so on access to university off course this should be kept up- This to my knowledge started in the 199ioes and is a big success. I have seen storues of like paralyzed peple taking a law degree and becoming successfull lawyers which off course is a good thing.

I don't know which part AfD is talking about but assumes it was about the primaty schools. But yeah maybe they don't want blind people at uni, who knows. The original nazis wanted to literally just kill off handicapped people.

"Are they like full blown fascists? "

  • It seems so. They want to cut history education about the Second World War and the holocaust and replace it with positive stories about Germany. 'Make Germany Great Again' (Ich werde Deutschland wieder gross machen) was the slogan of Hitler.

My friend was having someone accompany him in primary school in normal class . So the load was not on the teacher . If he had not been able to obtain success he would have gone to special school . He could even have chosen to go to special school .

Instead Afd want to discriminate probably because of their ideology .

It's opening a big can of worms !

AfD is a nationalist party, just like the National Socialist German Workers' Party, or the Rassemblement National.
Banning a party does not help: they start with another name, like Front National.
Imprisonment does not help, another person takes over, like father and daughter Le Pen.
The essence of a nationalist party is 'us against them', so it is essentially xenophobic resp. racist.

An autocratic desire for sole power and the shaming or crushing of dissent is an arising problem coming from BOTH the Left and the Right. Indeed, today where I live it seems more often to be coming from the Left.

Anyone who wishes an all-powerful government, that they (giggle) just happen to control, and who hopes to seize or wildly tax the property of others, or ban or criminalize speech, is a problem.

Many of the young only see the problem coming from one direction. It takes a lot of useful education and life experience to see very clearly, however, so that may not be surprising.

Youth could be misled and certain, but quite wrong, decades ago, too. Young, angry Leftist zealots killed innocents in the 60s, and in the 30s, and in the teens, after all. It's not a new problem.

Even the French Revolution evolved into a foolish bloodbath. And so did the communist revolution. Remember?

Actually, nobody can remember at this point. Another reason why a genuinely useful education is important.

  • Some of the parties do not openly advocate racism, but oppose immigration, oppose other religions,..

There are reasons for that. There is no inherit right to go to other country. Each country has a right to auto govern itself. They are not harming anyone that they reject. People looking for an alternate country to live can just look for another one willing to receive them.

I do not know why is that a problem. Or rather, the left automatically calls those anti immigration policies as nazis, and that is indeed problematic. As long as a country is not violating civil rights of their own citizens, no external country, entity, or individual has a say in their policies. You can make an unwelcomed opinion, but is exactly that.

Legal migration is, more often than not, allowed, but illegal immigration, specially when it's done in mass is very problematic. Since the people is illegal, they cannot work legally, and very often recurr to organized crime to make money and survive.

That can be fixed in 2 ways, open borders or strong border patrol + deportations. Open borders falls to the you do not know who you let in. Border control doesn't have that issue.

Restricting religion is a problem, everyone should be free to pick their religion and everything else, within their own country, or you have to accept the regulations of the country that allowed you in. If you don't want to accept their regulations, you simply do not belong there.

  • There is. Migration is of all times.
The USA is populated by former immigrants, and now turns against new immigrants, they call aliens and attack with ICE.

Right wing extremists campaign against other groups of people. They appeal to the masses of poor essentially saying: your misery is the fault of Jews / communists / immigrants / Palestinians / moslims ... They turn people against one another.

@tpr I hope you're familiar with the concept of defensive democracy, in context of banning hostile parties.

Weimar was absolutely defenseless, and I think today's Germany is not defensive enough either.
