World Peace... For One Year?

In this current state, is it possible to have one year without any wars or conflicts? Or was it bound to never happen again?

Humanity was living much more peacefully thousands of years ago.

It’s genuinely so depressing that we haven’t had a single year without wars or conflicts in our lifetime.

I hope us and the future generations will.

It was because before, we had no civilizations, so the largest conflict were skirmishes between tribes. With the rise of countries (Egypt, India, Greece, China, Rome, etc.) there will be bigger tribes, bigger conflicts, and bigger wars.
Now, we have huge nations with massive arsenals and so when their interests clash, there is a trade war, a diplomatic spat, or, if it escalated, a war,
Actually, I think that war will because less likely in the future as countries amass weapons that will act as a deterrent (for me, nuclear weapons have brought peace among the largest powers). Also, we will have more reason to cooperate with climate change and other international or global crises threatening the livelihood of all.

"I think that war will because less likely in the future"

  • Russia is at war, the USA and Israel are at war, India and Pakistan were at war with each other.
That is 5 of the 9 countries with nuclear weapons are/were at war recently.

"cooperate with climate change"

  • Yes, global warming causes floods, droughts, hurricanes, wildfires, landslides, avalanches with loss of life and property.
Wars contribute to global warming, but some wars are motivated to 'grab their oil'.

Wars are caused by insane leaders,
and the low intelligence idiots that
follow their orders.

Peaceful countries have better economy,
infrastructure and happier population
than warmongering states.

Stop following orders that start wars!

"World Peace... For One Year?"

Impossible, unless humans don't exist.

The U.S. avoided war throughout Trump's first term.

He then and later worked to resolve and end some wars and had some success at that.

He is serious about stopping the spread of nuclear weapons, however. That seems a rather reasonable, indeed important, aspiration.

But, as always, some might disagree. And, of course, many won't even consider that perhaps they might simply be wrong about America and Trump. That would be too painful and confusing, I suppose. And I don't expect that to happen often.

May we all wish for and receive peace. But not by putting our heads in the sand. Because that's not a peace that lasts or ends well. World War II taught us that.

I'm curious as to why you worship Trump
to the extent of mental acrobatics.

It is the right time for war now,
but wasn't in his first term.

It is the right time to try to stop
the spread of nukes now,
but wasn't in his first term.

I sincerely hope that the US envoys succeed to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine.
I also hope the US Navy sails home and the US and Israel leave Iran and Lebanon alone.

I hope so.

Although I’m not American, I feel like America was much more “chill” when Obama was president.

Also Trump:

Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace.”
