I got notification that four people I have reported in the last two weeks have been banned.

Did you reported everyone you lost to? How did you manage to find 4 in 2 weeks. I need to up my reporting game

No don't. Abusing the report feature means the mods will no longer look at your reports.

Not a surprise. Not everyone wants to be a better chess player. Just like in life, not everyone wants to grow and improve, they want cheap rewards and not earn anything. Their parents failed them.

Maybe I missed the rest but in your last 1000 games over the past 6 weeks there are just 2 banned players.

Edit: Okay, I checked your last 1800 games (until 2025-12-09): 7 banned players (0.5% of players)

Is there really that many cheaters? I guarantee they were all under 25 years old. That generation didn't learn a sense of fair play and honor and think that winning is all that matters. It's the Trump generation.

Wait...isn't Trump like 80? (wth?)

And you reported four people--but you only thought one of em was cheating. (again--huh?)

Is cheating really that prevalent? I was a bit surprised to see that. I only really thought (or knew) that one was cheating. Surprised to see so many.

I assume this was bullet since that's mostly what you play. So are there plug ins that show you engine moves on the board you are playing? I used to think bullet was safe from cheating.

For a lot of people getting away with cheating IS the challenge. Winning fairly or improving is boring to them. If you played online in the early 2000s you remember the number of people cheating at Counterstrike and other games. It was incredibly prevalent and ruined the whole thing.

Yeah but he's completely changed the decorum of society. In the past if a president just flat out lied it was a scandal. Trump objectively lies every single day and his base doesn't care. Dishonesty is normalized now. It's even admirable in some circles. A lot of young people don't know any different.

I use to enjoy playing with no account just unrated anon games for fun but the amount of cheaters/bots that play is ridiculous ,i made this account to see if my chess was getting really bad after losting about 10 unrated anon games in a row, i really think at this stage lichess use bots to play people sometimes so that you dont wait around. Tonight i won 1 game out of 20 or more anon games and i feel after a few moves they are playing at super gm strength and know the game is lost ,then when i check the games it tells me the top engine moves are played in most moves from them or the next best move is played and there is no fun.The worst part is if i ever won stockfish i would never know lol

#18

Lichess doesn't use bots (apart from the ones created by people, and they're clearly tagged BOT).
