I'm not comparing strength of players from different epochs as I believe it wouldn't make sense. What I meant was that Morphy's style and chess mentality would not IMHO work well in today's elite chess.

There is no such thing as a "perfect" Chess player, every chess player can be beaten someway or somehow. So now we know that there is no "perfect" chess player, I would choose no one.
