About me
My name is Greter Caballero Ramos, I am a Cuban FIDE teacher, coach and active chess athlete. I study the degree in physical culture and sports. I consider myself passionate about chess, I am characterized by being respectful, punctual and I like to finish everything I start

Teaching experience

I have experience as a coach mainly of athletes between 10-15 years old, although I specialize in children under 12 years old. I have participated as a preparation team for high-performance athletes in order to participate in national and international tournaments, in addition to preparing lines and perfecting a repertoire of titled athletes. I currently teach classes at a basic level in a municipal Chess academy, at the same time I help graduates both online and face-to-face to perfect their dynamic understanding of Openings, Mediums and Finals.

Playing experience

Participate in the U16 World Olympics of Azerbaijan 2022 being the best female located in America.

I was a national silver single school and national school bronze medalist by teams, silver medalist under 16 in the international tournament looking for Capablanca 2022. Win the qualifying zonal for the National semifinal of the first category in 2023 as undefeated. I got first place in the national ajeduni tournament on the 3rd board as undefeated

I was my country's under 20 national champion in 2024

I got the first female place in the master group of the Carlos Torres Inmemoriam 2024, in addition to achieving the first female place and 4th overall in the Cancun 2024 festival, I got 2nd place in the national sub 20 of 2025 of my country. I have participated in tournaments such as the Central American 2024, the Continental 2023, Cuba Championship 2024 and the Capablanca inmemoriam 2024 (Open Group) The Central American under 20 women 2025 obtaining the 5th place

Other experiences

I have given multiple simultaneous and refereed blizt tournaments. I received multiple classes on dynamic and positional comprehension from great teachers such as Roberto García Pantoja, Alonso Zapata and Yusnel Bacallao, which has given me enough knowledge to teach classes on these topics.

Best skills
I specialize in the dynamic game in the 3 faces of the game, finding tactical resources in complex positions. I dominate strategic positions where good understanding and mastery of the harmonic play of the pieces is needed.

I know in depth the technical tactical elements of chess and psychological techniques to optimize the athlete's performance. I know how to listen, communicate and manage time, I am characterized by being empathetic and with a critical and self-critical thinking. I keep learning and constantly updating myself

Teaching methodology

I use pedagogical and didactic elements that allow me to teach effectively and that my students learn efficiently. I express myself in a concrete, clear and affordable way for students of any age and level of chess.
