Back and fixing... v2.4.208 should work fine for the moment.

Haven't finished reviewing the 1000 files that Lichess changed, but the errors that I was aware of are fixed in v2.4.208.

I am continuing the process, so please report any NEW (check your version, please) issues so I can fix them.

Enjoy!

Also, the Schlawg is back! Expect disturbances in the Force :)

When I am going forward in moves, it lags so bad that moves on the board appear but it does not update to that move in move panel. Is anybody facing the same problem in analysis board?

I can't say I do. I've been working pretty hard on performance, but sometimes I add new stuff and it may impact things.

What computer, OS, browser are you using? Are you talking about games, studies or analysis board? Are there a lot of moves in the move list (like more than 1000) or not?

Analysis board, less than 20 moves. Everything but lichess is working fine. Also, when I disable the extension, lichess stops lagging. Please do something about it as I'm unable to use analysis bord properly.

hi @TotalNoob69 ,
I encountered 3 bugs that only occurs when LiChess Tools is activated (Windows 10 "1909", Intel i7 5500U, Firefox 152.0.3 (64 bits) up to date, Lichess Tools v2.4.208 up to date):

  1. While analyzing a game, clicking on a move in the list will display it instantly on the board, but won't have it selected/highlighted in blue, until putting Firefox fullscreen, or occasionnaly waiting for about 10 sec :

  2. In Problems, once resolved, engine analysis becomes avalaible, then when setting at least one "analysis line", and hovering over some move on analysis line, the move list instantly refreshes, displaying from the first move. Problem being that focus on selected move is lost :

  3. After some testing, switching LiChess Tools activated/disabled a few times, even restarting Firefox, it appeared that havint LiChess Tools activated and enabling engine analysis ends up in almost instantly crash (5-10sec being the 8sec I put for "time analysis" I guess), regardless of which engine is chosen (even external, with Lichess Locale Engine & local stockfish), while it's working fine when LiChess Tools disabled:

Thanks a lot for the bug report. Going to look into all of that, but that third bug shows that you have an old version of the extension or some corruption. You should uninstall LiChess Tools and reinstall it.

@TotalNoob69 it appears that my "Lichess Tools v2.4.208" was actually NOT up to date, I realize that after following your advice to uninstall-reinstall the extension that was displaying the version "2.4.214".

As a consequence, I no more encounter bugs 1. & 3., but the bug "2." remains.

I am sorry, @jeutu , but I don't understand the bug. So the engine is running, there are lines for the engine evaluation and you use the mouse to hover over a move. And then what happens?

For me it just shows the board position I am hovering over and the only thing that has any effect on how things are rendered as when the engine reaches a new depth or finds a different line. What do "displaying from the first move" and "window resets" mean?
