Hello, I'm @queen-of-blunders - a Russian antichess player (top 50) and also one of the best among female ones. Despite of my 8 year long lichess experience I haven't been associated with IAF before. But now I came here with a speech (hope it's not "too long - didn't read" haha). About me: I have an opening named after me (a3) and I've created a study with antichess puzzles which were really useful according to people's comments.
My main idea in anti is creativity and trying different lines instead of spamming e3 which is too overused. In past I've already inspired others to change opening too and I want to save this tendency. Antichess is arguably the best variant and we got to keep this environment pleasant. The ones who have powers here mustn't misuse them (like it happened recently during LAWC) and we should prevent it. Humor is ok but false accusations and trying to ruin someone's reputation aren't. We're only opponents on the board but not actually enemies. Yes, we all are just people with emotions and ofc we can get mad when an opp dirty flags or preps lines or something else but let's not take it too seriously.
I have some concrete suggestions about online projects: puzzle streak/puzzle racer related to antichess and game of the week/month. Antichess is not only about perfect moves - it's about people as well so we also need something kinda informal like magazine with news of the community (not only Amsterdam event), local jokes, "golden quotes" and interviews with players. This informal part happens on discord nowadays but there are only like about 10 active chatters so we should expand it in other places - I've got inspired with chronatog's website but it's about atomic.
Let's make antichess great again!

Hey all, I'll also be throwing my hat in for a spot on the council. I've had experience organizing events, both single-day things and over multiple months, so I'd imagine I'd be most helpful in some coordination role. That being said, I've also been around for close to 8 years on Lichess, so I've seen how this community has changed for the better and the worse. Let's make this next council a part of the best :)

I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

I have a question, how are votes made, and what stops some people from using alternate accounts to vote for themselves?

after @bwmtone presents the candidates, each of us votes for a list of 7
alternative accounts will not be considered

That will probably not be neccesary. The council members need to be voted by others. In order for someone to be elected, they need to be well known in the community.

No no no, I think he means that someone can vote for themselves using their own alts. Well, who knows lol, what if it really can be a problem
