Above all it looks like he closed his account so he aint trying to get an appeal

I'm not sure, but I think sometimes moderators can close a player's account themselves. A similar thing happened recently at the title arena, where they banned the winner a few days later and only then announced the runner-up.

yes, they could close it themselves , but some people in the arena chat told me that they saw his account was banned first and in a few minutes it was closed.
Anyway though , its lichess's decision

Yes, that's exactly how it happened in the title arena. Red flag, exclusion from the tournament, closed account.

the most important thing though was that he was banned before the end of the tournament.
Otherwise the arena points wouldnt have been returned

This is absolutely crucial! It's a shame that there's no point redistribution after the tournament ends if a player is banned within three days and subsequently removed from the tournament protocol. Here's the tournament I'm using as an example: https://lichess.org/tournament/jan26lta
So, everyone still moved up one position, changes occurred, but unfortunately, points aren't redistributed as they would have been during the tournament.
Yesterday, they might not have made it either. They were removed practically at the last minute. I don't know how this affected the top three, but if you're interested, you can calculate how it affected the prize distribution in both cases.
In the case of the title arena, it's the top 5

@Italiya

Agreed, would be very useful
Also I think first place got a streak because innocent was banned .

IMHO losses against a ToS violator should be considered a draw instead of a win in a tournament; the reason being that one cannot know for sure what the result would have been had the violator played honestly.

Ehh, I guess if they are a cheater to be honest the only fair way is to count it as a win against the opponents.
Do you have any other ideas?:)

Click on the tournament winner's list of games. Game number 69.
