Is fried liver attack losing for black with perfect play?

@tpr said ^

No, that would lose in ICCF correspondence.

Who cares about correspondence chess? Nothing to do with practical tournament chess.

...Nxd5 is no blunder, it is still within the drawing margin.

So is 1. a4. I can press spacebar 80 times and the computer will draw itself. Does that mean 1. a4 is a draw?

Computer chess & 'drawing margin' is irrelevant to practical human chess.

"Who cares about correspondence chess?"

  • It is perfect play as the title of the thread refers to.

"Does that mean 1. a4 is a draw?"

  • Yes, only 1 g4? loses.

Is 1.g4 losing by force? Why?

Is 1.g4 losing by force? Why?
It weakens the king's side.
However, I found an ICCF correspondence game where white holds a draw:

Didn't you mean 1.g4 is only the first move that loses by force?

"1.g4 is only the first move that loses by force?"

  • Yes, all other 19 first moves draw.

I'm sorry if this is stupid question but are there more evidences that 1.g4 loses by force? Because I think 1.g4 is also a draw like other 19 moves.

"1.g4 is also a draw like other 19 moves"

  • Maybe: I presented an ICCF correspondence game that draws. However, 1 g4 is clearly the worst of the possible 20 first moves. Black should probably play 26...h5 to win.

I'm sorry

Three days have passed since your question. How many fried games were you able to play during this time?
