@Akshaj_the_Chess_pro Fischer also believed in a worldwide conspiracy led by the Jews: he was a brilliant chess player, but he also had significant mental health issues, so I don't think his attitude towards women is really something people should be aligning themselves with.

@Talezassian,
If he did have what you call "significant mental health issues", then how do you think he played chess? Chess is a game that requires major thinking and analytical skills. If he did have "mental health issues" then he certainly would not have become World Chess Champion.

@Akshaj_the_Chess_pro
Do you know what a wide range of topics "mental health issues" covers, or are you just trying to keep your argument up with whatever you can?

@Akshaj_the_Chess_pro There's an excellent summation in Fischer's wikipedia article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Fischer#Personal_life that says: "While as far as is known Fischer was never formally diagnosed, there has been widespread comment and speculation concerning his psychological condition based on his extreme views and unusual behavior.", which in turn links to this article, which I thought was very balanced: https://psmag.com/social-justice/a-psychological-autopsy-of-bobby-fischer-25959

@Talezassian,
Yes, looking at the articles which you sent me, it looks like he did have some kind of 'mental health issues.' Hence, it would not be suitable for me to do what you call "aligning myself with."

I don't know know much about Bobby Fischer, as he was not living in my era.

But I still believe that FIDE has enough knowledge of the chess world and can decide on decisions it should and shouldn't make. It doesn't need anybody commenting on the way the FIDE (@FIDE) works.

I don't think they should put w in front of a women titled player. (for example WFM) It's just weird.
