Sorry that it has been a nuisance. Fortunately there is a way to make it stop.
Just head to https://lichess.org/account/twofactor and setup 2FA.

If you're so annoyed and you keep refusing 2fa, you shouldn't be a team or class leader
I've heard several stories of minors carelessly giving away their passwords here ...
That’s illogical.
Why would he give away his password just because you heard stories?
With the same logic and degree of human failure 2fa is not doing anything if you think about it.
But that’s not what it’s for.

Just head to https://lichess.org/account/twofactor and setup 2FA.
There should be no option because then there will be password leakage everywhere on Lichess

Well you can thank these stories for the fact that team leaders are prompted to enable 2fa.
While kids may be careless about their passwords, they're probably and hopefully not likewise careless about their phone (even when it comes to siblings ... and definitely not when it comes to Internet strangers)

Those things aren't causally related.

I guess you could also simply not use any features that would make lichess strongly suggest 2FA.
Like stepping down from all those 1-man-teams you seem to have created.

So... you're salty about a prompt to enable 2FA, meanwhile accounts with special perms are literally required to have 2FA, or they get locked out of their features.
Does that mean I'm missing something if I haven't enabled 2FA? ;p
