Repetiton counting (wrong counting)

Hi all,
there is a (1) repition in the analysis at move 27 pawn a5.

https://lichess.org/56DFw1ux/black#54

I assume this is a bug?

And could someone explain in general the 3 repetion rule in chess? (I am always a bit confused who and when someone can claim the draw after 3 repititons). In most cases, like the game aboove it doesnt really matter because we could repeat the position 10 times.

9.2 The game is drawn, upon a correct claim by a player having the move, when the same position for at least the third time (not necessarily by a repetition of moves):

9.2.1 is about to appear, if he/she first indicates his/her move, which cannot be changed, by writing it on the paper scoresheet or entering it on the electronic scoresheet and declares to the arbiter his/her intention to make this move, or

9.2.2 has just appeared, and the player claiming the draw has the move.

9.2.3 Positions are considered the same if and only if the same player has the move, pieces of the same kind and colour occupy the same squares and the possible moves of all the pieces of both players are the same. Thus positions are not the same if:

9.2.3.1 at the start of the sequence a pawn could have been captured en passant.

9.2.3.2 a king had castling rights with a rook that has not been moved, but forfeited these after moving. The castling rights are lost only after the king or rook is moved.

The draw has to be claimed. After 5 repetitions it is automatic without claim:
9.6 If one or both of the following occur(s) then the game is drawn:

9.6.1 the same position has appeared, as in 9.2.2 at least five times.

a5 is the first time the position occurs. If you click on every numbered position in the move list you will see the same board position. Hence, repetition.

Threefold repetition means three times the same position. It doesnt mean "position being repeated three times after the first occurrence of the position". Therefore the first occurrence is already numbered 1. So, in a way you repeat the position only twice.

In addition to the answer of tpr you can check the settings for threefold repetition in your profile.

Never: The system automatically declares a draw after 5 repetitions. Like your example.
Always: The system declares a draw after 3 repetitions.

I tend to agree with Viohl (I cannot find any sign of a system decision based on 5 repetitions)

So, it looks like the game stops with any of the players having autoThreeFold set to true in their prefs but will need an accepted draw offer or a time out to stop.

My feeling is that the opponent offered a draw that was automatically accepted (which is not auto 3-fold draw) and explains the 5 repetiions
