Humanity is dying, and nobody seems to care :O

Horsey is a perfect manifestation of the divine nature of individuality.

Horsey is quite, er, individual, yet all the more beautiful for it.

Long live horsey, and long live individual dignity and freedom of choice.

All we have to do is make good choices. But it's a personal decision, not a mandate from supposed, self-declared superiors.

AI Slop in second, with social media in first. Technology is not inherently bad; I think you’re referring to digital technology (the wheel is also considered technology).

Yeah and the scariest part is that we might not even notice how much it's affecting us.

Looking for patterns is often a useful activity, indeed. Some stimuli produce dark, depressing, angry, anxious, even hopeless feelings, but most do not.

Optimism is usually a virtue, and detracting from it is usually a mistake, although sometimes it is a calculated decision, by some. Notice by whom and ponder what they seek. Do they propose themselves as a solution?

If so, should they be followed? Many seem to think so. Time will tell who's correct, although there are already plenty of indications of what produces happiness and progress and what produces anger and despair and doesn't really solve problems.

but if evildoers being punished makes the victims feel better, then that punishment is appropriate.

So in your opinion, punishment is not a catalyst of justice, merely a tool for the reciprocation of sadism performed on the victims.

When you were a vulnerable and naive four-year-old, your deluded guardians told you that God exists. You had not been taught anything yet, so you believed the first thing that you were told, and you have not started to use your own brain yet

Rather, when I was a less vulnerable and less naive young-adult well into my pursuit of scientific knowledge, I thought it would be fun to do some research on Christianity in order to dispute the existence of a God with my Christian friends. What I found surprised me, even though I had been taught by many atheists that God did not exist, and on the matter of religion I had barely started to use my brain.

You need to stop blindly believing that the government is there to help you

Blindly believing? Far from that.

Why is education legally mandatory

Education is a fundamental human right. It being mandatory actually benefits the person being educated, rather than the opposite.

Why is it illegal in some countries to be in same-sex relationships

Because some government have extreme views.

Why is suicide illegal

Only in a small proportion of countries these days. The governments probably believe that it would act as a deterrent, but that doesn't make much sense to me. And whether suicide should be legal (and whether it should be a right) leads to a whole other debate.

Why are people force-fed medicine in mental hospitals

Would you rather that the mentally-ill be free to roam the streets? The same streets that children and the elderly walk on?

Humans eat animals, kill nature, brainwash innocent people into becoming war-fodder, etc

There are many vegan, pacifist, nature-treasuring people in this world. Not as many as one would like, maybe, but they exist.

This is something I've been thinking about, and I could be wrong. I feel that humanity is fading from our society. The world doesn't seem as nice as it used to be. There are many possible reasons including AI slop, social media, and technology in general. I'm not saying these things are bad, but I think they've affected us in ways we don't even realize. And these aren't the only reasons- there are...

True, but it was never possible for humanity to last forever. The Cambrian creatures never lasted forever, the dinosaurs died even as dominant species, most species of humans died except for the Homo Sapiens (us). Do you think we'll space travel to a new planet? No, there is evidence that we won't even leave the solar system.

Well you see, I do care, I WANT humanity to die out.

@whatismymainbro, I think we can all agree that humans were created by accident. Any slight change to the history timeline, and intelligent apes would never be a thing!
Yet, how do you distinguish "bad"? Is it the evil wars and battles, is it a robber robbing a bank, or a company stealing your information? If all animals decided that predatory was a sign of good, would that mean a small rabbit is a villain? If something exists in a universe, it cannot be neither bad nor good. It is only what we believe is correct, therefore is correct to the majority.

@AveraWyvern There is nothing we can do. No one should care, everything has its end, you just need to be prepared. You should just enjoy your life. Only time will tell if our descendants (robots) will carry on our legacy...

I'd say, by either the occurrence of a series of nigh-zero-possibilty events, or by the hands of a divine Creator.

It is only what we believe is correct, therefore is correct to the majority

I find this somewhat hard to swallow. If the majority of humans believed that eating shit was correct, would you eat shit too? The "rightness" of some things seem plain to me; in any case I'm not that big of a fan of the idea of conformity of thought.

It wasnt different in the past. There were always wars, poverty, crime.I think socialism could stop big part of those problems. We could share all the recources, live happily and make God proud of us.

(@)MandoMan13: 'The rest of nature is just as cruel, or even more so than humans.' ~ Do you really realize how bad the human race are? For one, they force people into their society (slavery); for two, they imprison people who are refusing education (brainwashing); for three, they force-feed medicine to people who are not productive, mindless slaves. (The Veer Union --- Slaves To The System.)

'Animals eat each other.' ~ Out of instinct; humans hurt innocents out of full choice.

'nature is only beautiful because it is seen through our eyes' ~ You can say that about anything that is beautiful. Is humanity more beautiful than nature? If you think, 'yes,' then you are likely as brainwashed as the average person. Nature was minding its own business; humans came and destroyed it. For what? To create a slave empire.

'Without humans, there is really nothing to save.' ~ It is because of humans that nothing that is worth saving can be saved; our race has become too powerful. Best case? 'Society' becomes a forbidden concept. Worst case? Humans enslave more planets.

(@)Himawari_Nohara: 'So people don't kill themselves.' ~ Here is the real answer: so that the government do not lose slaves.

'You only get to live once.' ~ Which is why that life should be our own; it should not be the government's.

(@)IamNOTamod: 'So in your opinion, punishment is not a catalyst of justice, merely a tool for the reciprocation of sadism performed on the victims.' ~ So, in your opinion, victims should not be given justice/revenge even if that would make them feel better and be able to properly move on and heal from being unjustifiably hurt?

'What I found surprised me, even though I had been taught by many atheists that God did not exist.' ~ Perhaps you would share your, 'proof that God exists'? (I doubt it, seeing as it would be easy to refute; I expect a reply like, 'I do not care about proving it to you,' or, 'Everyone knows but you, Shadow; I do not need proof.')

'Blindly believing? Far from that.' ~ Insert the same question as above.

'It [education] being mandatory actually benefits the person being educated' ~ Forcing education onto innocent people is wrong; I am all for it being optional. Also, even if the ends justify the means, education does not make people smarter; it makes them dumber: Schools do not allow you to think, but to only listen; they enforce lazy concepts like common sense; you need permission to pee; schools teach many useless concepts; some schools are legally allowed to physically abuse their students.

You would be smarter if you spent your time in a forest,

'Because some government have extreme views.' ~ Because same-sex couples cannot produce slaves. Less slaves equals less power.

'The governments probably believe that it would act as a deterrent, but that doesn't make much sense to me' ~ Agreed. Imprisoning suicidal people discourages them from seeking help, thus increasing the amount of people who commit suicide (similar to drugs). That, however, does not mean that preserving slaves is not the government's goal; it just means that they are ignorant about basic logic.

'whether suicide should be legal (and whether it should be a right) leads to a whole other debate.' ~ You should be free to end your own life when you want to; it is yours, after all. You should not be forced to live in, 'society' and be ready to commit suicide by entering war for your government.

'Would you rather that the mentally-ill be free to roam the streets?' ~ Firstly, helping the mentally-ill ---not all of whom are dangerous, mind you--- is not the goal of mental hospitals; it is to, 'fix' people who are not productive slaves. What would happen if the government allowed their citizens to mind their own business, not have jobs, and not be ready to defend their country ---and attack for it--- by entering war?

Secondly, even if mental hospitals' purpose was to help the mentally-ill, do you think that innocent people deserve to be legally abused while their abusers are paid money for it? Death threats are illegal, yet abuse is not.

Thirdly, just think about it: You are born, put in a box to live in, wake up, eat, attend a box where you are told, 'We are here to help you, and you should not believe anyone who says otherwise,' brainwashed into believing what everyone else believes and not given a chance to think for yourself, go home to your box, sleep, and repeat this process until you die; is that a good race?

'There are many vegan, pacifist, nature-treasuring people in this world. Not as many as one would like, maybe, but they exist.' ~ Toxic positivity, NOTamod. You could say, 'My partner might be emotionally manipulative, beat me regularly, accuse me of rape, and hurt my friends, but they teach chess to sick children for free, so I will stay with them.'

'There is no proof ---not even evidence--- that God does not exist. Therefore, God exists.' ~ There is no proof ---not even evidence--- that I am not Rick Astley, immortal, a billionaire, and can teleport. Therefore, I am Rick Astley, immortal, a billionaire, and can teleport. You cannot disprove the existence of Santa Claws... Wait, you can: if Santa existed, then we would have proof of it. It is not the responsibility of atheists to disprove that God exists; it is the responsibility of Christians ---in other words, misinformation machines--- to prove that God exists. It is similar to, 'innocent until proven guilty': I could claim that someone is a serial killer, but they are innocent until I provide enough evidence to have proved it.

Let go of weakness, imaginary friends, and real-life deus ex machinas; embrace the truth and learn to either live with it or change it.

So, in your opinion, victims should not be given justice/revenge even if that would make them feel better and be able to properly move on and heal from being unjustifiably hurt

Justice, yes, revenge, no. Two wrongs don't make a right, and that's not a saying that rhymes.

Perhaps you would share your, 'proof that God exists'

I'm sorry, where did I say there was "proof that God exists"? Do point me to that passage; I forgot all about it.

Firstly, helping the mentally-ill ---not all of whom are dangerous, mind you--- is not the goal of mental hospitals; it is to, 'fix' people who are not productive slaves

Conjecture. And while not all the mentallly-ill may be dangerous, many have the potential to be. Would you rather the government not care about the welfare of its citizens?

What would happen if the government allowed their citizens to mind their own business, not have jobs, and not be ready to defend their country ---and attack for it--- by entering war

The death of many innocent lives, I suspect.

do you think that innocent people deserve to be legally abused

No, and contrary to your belief, the mistreatment of patients by staff is illegal.

My partner might be emotionally manipulative [...]

Totally different circumstances. An individual is the sum of their choices, a population consists of different individuals and should not, in my opinion, be considered the sum of a select few.

There is no proof ---not even evidence--- that I am not Rick Astley, immortal, a billionaire, and can teleport

You're missing my point. You realise my logic is completely absurd, but do not realise that I wrote it on purpose as a reciprocation to your logic, to make you realise how flawed it is!

I could claim that someone is a serial killer, but they are innocent until I provide enough evidence to have proved it

But they are not automatically guilty either.

Let go of weakness, imaginary friends, and real-life deus ex machinas; embrace the truth and learn to either live with it or change it.

Let go of bitterness, paranoia; embrace the fact that the world is broken, and learn to live with it or change it (if you are able to).

I did. A jungle, in fact. And I don't think it did much for my cognitive abilities.

P.S. are you really defending your portrayals of your opinion as fact, with books and songs?
