I believe TwelveTeen may be on holidays. In #54 he mentioned he would not be able to commit to any matches until 21st March. I expect he'll catch up with the schedule upon his return.

Okay thanks for the tip!

Okay thanks for the tip!

Can we get some clarity on two points before tomorrow?

  1. What are the thoughts, among the players, to switch the time control to 3 2. It seems like there was a desire among the players to switch, but FischyVischy was less certain. The idea that time scrambles "will balance" each other out, doesn't make sense to me -- games are either decided by time scrambles or not, often irrespective of position, and it's not a random outcome. Some players are better than others at time scrambles. It makes sense to minimize the effect of variables outside of "crazyhouse skill" (like mouse-moving ability) in deciding important matches. Nearly any increment (but I'm bullish on 3 2) resolves this problem instantly.

I have now watched every game in round 16, and maybe 40% were decided via time scrambles. We have the potential to generate some of the highest quality games zhouse has ever seen, and I'd really like to see some beautiful games, rather than beautiful half-games that end in spite checks.

  1. Can we confirm that someone is going to record Blitzbullet vs Eekarf happening at 10:00 am ET (UPDATE: 9:00 AM ET, 3:00 PM ISRAEL TIME). I know there was originally a schedule committing JannLee or Crosky or Atrophied to recording, but I just want to make sure someone is on it.

Me and blitzbullet are starting an hour earlier. 3pm Israel Time now.

@Flourish , that's a great idea, that would solve most problems about complaints that one's opponent was playing cheap and placed checks that didn't require skill.

I'm opened to both 3 0 and 3 2, so up to the other guys to decide!

@FischyVishy @xaunet @v2chess

I think there needs to be a consensus on this soon as eekarf and I have a game tomorrow or would it be best to post pone those games until we have decided.
