People are not showing basic consideration today. I don't like getting on a soapbox. But some of these posts are ridiculous.
If someone is making posts unrelated to the topic of the op that may be considered spam.
Also, making a comment just to insult a person is wrong.
Spamming and insults are not what these forums exists for.
Lichess allows reports to be made if you feel their terms of service were not followed.

Seems to be impossible nowadays, but for some reason the amount of conflict in otd is going down.

You raise a good point, however it seems that some people get away with things that others do not, seemingly but not assuredly based off of their apparent popularity standing on the forums, whereby what they say is deemed ok because they said it, but if someone unpopular said something similar there would likely be reports made en masse and possible action taken later.
It's the same in real life of course, people are bias. :)
