"most bad things happen because of bad thoughts."
- I do not think so. Manslaughter often happens from a drunken brawl, or from a heated argument, from a serious insult, from a husband seeing his wife with another man etc. Most is impulsive.

- You don't.
- Maybe, because scientifically it is impossible to prove it.
- Even if you are doing nothing, you are doing something, that is, nothing. So, no.
- That would be sad indeed.
- Yes it does.

Impulsive thoughts, yes, sometimes just impulses from the brain, maybe.
This is entirely pointless, the only thing I want is that you acknowledge how much beliefs matter.
But I want to make one thing clear:
9/11 happened because of beliefs, religious beliefs.
Big parts of WW1 and WW2 happened because of beliefs
Countless assassinations happened because of beliefs.
I don‘t care if it‘s 10 percent because of beliefs or 90, if you want me to take back the „most“ then fine, I don‘t care about that even if I‘m right.
From the start on, my only point is that beliefs are NOT irrelevant for this topic.
This isn‘t even philosophy anymore, it‘s about nothing more than accepting the facts, how can that be so difficult?

@tpr also, maybe google the most common causes for murder in the 20th century (since it‘s the latest completed one), trust me, one point are escalations and impulsive behaviour but MANY are due to personal reasons(beliefs of some sort) or beliefs related to a state. That are the facts and you can look them up right now. Aside from that, that isn‘t the point I wanted to make so do whatever.
Edit: Also, about the relationship aspect, if you wouldn’t believe that it is something bad that your wife is with another man, you wouldn’t act in that way ;) same counts for insults or heated arguments. The only point I‘d agree are truly impulsive behaviour and in how far that is „bad“ in the moral context is arguable. Enough additions for now.

"9/11 happened because of beliefs, religious beliefs."
- Yes. Osama Bin Laden had just defeated the USSR in Afghanistan. He believed he could also defeat the USA by luring them to Afghanistan. President Bush took he bait. Indeed Afghanistan defeated the USA after 20 years, but at a cost of 80,000 death.
"Big parts of WW1"
- WW1 is sad. The Austrian Crown prince was assassinated in Sarajevo. Austria demanded that Austrian police would be allowed to search houses and interrogate suspects in Serbia. Serbia refused. Austria declared war. Serbia was allied to Russia. Russia was allied to the UK. Austria was allied to Germany. One assassination escalated to 20 million death. Both Austria and Serbia could have backed down and avoided the war.
"WW2"
- WW2 happened because the Versailles Treaty was too harsh on Germany because the French Jean de Lattre de Tassigny was vengeful, that made Hitler win the elections. Hitler promised to make Germany great again ('Ich werde Deutschland wieder gross machen'). Both sides believed to be right. The Pope blessed the German weapons. The German soldiers had God with us (Gott mit uns) on their belts.

WW2 happened because the Versailles Treaty was too harsh on Germany
If you think that the German-Polish border after WW1 was unfair, you should check historical maps, for instance
the one concerning 11 century. There is not any justification for what nazist Germany and their allies did during WW2.
Poland also lost an eastern part of the country after WW2, but somehow we did not start WW3 due to it.

The Pope blessed the German weapons.
So he was wrong or evil at that moment. And USSR was a totalitarian country, which was good back then to cooperate
in order to defeat nazist Germany only.

Aight, so the tree still makes the sound even though no one is around to hear it. Its like if your cat knocks over a vase while your gone, it still makes a noise.
How do you know the world isn't a dream? you dont.
Is it possible to prove God exists? yea? The big bang is a stupid idea because something would have had to trigger the thing that scientists claim brought everything that could have triggered it into existence.
If you did absolutely nothing, you would never exist and never would have existed. Depending on your definition of "nothing" of course. Your always breathing, so your always doing something.
The real question is is free will real or an illusion?
And also, Some guy above me said that Hitler claimed he would make Germany great again to win the elections. Reminds me of someone else...

(@)O_olo_O: The idea that God exists is dumber than the Big Bang theory. Who created God? (Answer: https://lichess.org/forum/off-topic-discussion/if-god-created-us-who-created-god?page=4#xC4ThzPS) I see no good reason to replace, 'What caused the Big Bang?' with, 'What created God?'; the latter is less unanswerable and a bullshit coping mechanism for the weak.
Since humans have been brainwashed into being mindless slaves for society, I suppose that free will might be compromised.

"the German-Polish border after WW1 was unfair"
- The Versailles treaty was unfair, the British and the Americans believed so too, but Jean de Lattre de Tassigny insisted on harsh terms arguing that France had suffered more from WWI and the 1870 war than the UK or the USA and thus could dictate the terms. The unfairness of the Versailles Treaty was not only about borders, but also reparation payments, occupation of the Rheinland etc.
"you should check historical maps"
- Poland has been very large in 1619, including e.g. Kyiv, and Poland has ceased to exist from 1815 to 1919.
The question is not the borders, but the people. When Polish people speaking Polish are all of a sudden German or Austrian or Russian citizens, then that is not right. When German people speaking German are all of a sudden Polish or Czech citizens, then that is not right either.
"what nazist Germany and their allies did during WW2"
- They could never have done that if the Versailles Treaty had been more moderate.
"So he was wrong or evil at that moment."
- The Pope saw the invasion of the communist and thus atheist Soviet Union as justified or holy, just like the Spanish Civil War.
"USSR was a totalitarian country, which was good back then to cooperate"
- The USSR also invaded Poland from the east, as per the secret appendix to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.
