Due to Jann's work vitamin time deficiency, I think I'm going to have this tournament extend the entirety of March. I'll update you guys with my proposed scheduling once everyone has sent in their optimal playing times (still waiting on @allyouneedisluft and @xuanet).

In order to accommodate multiple schedules, short or long, perhaps some players should be allowed to play their matches before the conclusion of the matches of all their counterparts.

By this I mean that some players could complete all 7 round robin matches before others may have even completed 3. The main objective is that all matches are played out.

In my opinion, 2 weeks to play 7 matches is way too fast.

Justin is right, assuming the world championship qualifiers are determined by # of matches won and not total points scored.

I suggest you can just choose a deadline 5-7 weeks in the future by which all matches need to be played. And we can work out the scheduling from there.

Order matters because, if, for example, I am the last player to play and I know everyone else's scores I can adjust my strategy accordingly

In my opinion we need at least 2 months for this....

@JannLee I of course considered this, but it didn't seem fair to me. There's a lot of preparation going on behind the scenes, so I don't want to have some players be at a disadvantage since they have to finish their matches quickly. Optimally, with 8 candidates, each player will play once every three days (two matches per day), or six or ... Of course, you yourself probably don't do any serious preparation hehe :P.

@chickencrossroad Are you proposing to have the Candidates extend for more than a month?

I'm still waiting on xuanet. I'll try to figure this out ASAP.

If it's scored by matches won, and not total score, then you can disregard what I said about order... I still think, given peoples' schedules we need at least 2 months.
