I know the comp. has ended, but I want to say mine anyway:

They say "There are a lot of fish in the sea." I say the shark population is going to increase sharply.
They say ''Another day, another dollar." I say that's way below minimum wage.
They say "Pain is the best teacher." No wonder my parents don't like when I teach my younger siblings...
They said "Deep Inhale, Deep Exhale." Little did they know 60% of the people in the room hadn't brushed their teeth this morning...
They said "It's time to roll." I don't know why they got mad when I started somersaulting.
They said "Slow and steady wins the race." I have finally traced the origins of my terrible track skills.
They say "Sally sells seashells by the seashore." Not anymore, her business shut down a few days later. Turns out you can just pick up seashells by the seashore for free.
They say "April showers, May flowers." Now the question is why April needs an entire month to shower.
They said "I'm feeling down in the dumps," and then I got a whole lot of weird looks from around me. Turns out that I was hallucinating and talking to a trash bag.
