What is the argument for veganism?

It is about what is right. And aside from whether or not it is intrinsically wrong to eat meat, the animals that humans eat are treated terribly.

Some animals are carnivorous and need meat to survive (and incidentally, most of those which are not carnivorous do not eat those things which you have named, as you would know if you had any cognizance of zoology). Humans are not carnivorous.

What does the use of methane as a fuel have to do with this? And my point is that it is wrong to eat meat from animals which have been kept in concentration camps in atrocious conditions, even if it were fine to eat meat otherwise.

That is not methane which can be used as fuel. It is a greenhouse gas being released into the atmosphere.

What the hell? That has NOTHING to do with whether or not it is right to kill and eat animals. The question is what is ethical for a person to do. If someone committed a crime, but the victim was not able to complain for whatever reason, does that make the crime right?

The methane we are talking about cannot be used as fuel because it is in the atmosphere, mixed with various other gases.

As I said before, this is a fallacious argument. Some animals are carnivorous and require meat. Humans are not carnivorous. And it is about what is right to do.
