They created the issue. There is not apparently a better way to interact with them and get things to be changed. THAT is what is insane. Poor design and duplication of function isn't good. Recently they've seemed more focused on decorative rather than functional issues.
A simple "Hey could you put an off switch on that" should have produced an off switch or a "we will do that by" a future date. That would have been reasonable.
Lichess.org is apparently not communicating on this issue. Has ignored people here who have said they want an off switch. No communication is not a positive thing & can be very annoying. Lichess apparently does not want communication from end users; does not value user input.
Maybe you've not picked up on the opinions of others like "it's annoying to see at the end of every game".
Criticism is called for by Lichess and it's lack of action. If you don't like the issue no one says that you have to read the posts on this. Go do your thing.

About what I'd expect from poorlychess.org. Too wimpy to deal with it so hide it.
Lichess.org has taken a bad turn. Possibly not continuing the ride with them.
The thread automatically gets hidden if it has been on forums for a while. @jhehrun you do not have to go so far as insulting Lichess.org for a simple mistake. They've already attempted to fix it, but it got declined. If you don't like Lichess.org, go to some other horrible paid website. Your getting all these nice features for **FREE**! Better not pay 30$ a month for some diamond membership!

They already attempted to make an off switch.

Wow! A mod created a off switch and I guess they ignored everyone since it got declined!
Lichess probably did not expect so many people crying over just a tiny symbol in the end of the game.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But Lichess have been doing UI and UX worse for last 2-3 years.
Why we cant sign a contract for a technical support from Lichess as shitty Carlsen`s app (take-take-take) did? So they MUST give them technical support for their problem. And on another side, should they hear Lichess users? No. They dont have legal obligations to hear us, to answer our questions, to solve ours problem ans so on.
Lichess no more has rebellious spirit. Lichess like a big corporation now. Lichess really have so many managers, they get sallary and I dont understand what get better since they were hired.
If we really like Lichess, as a Lichess-society we should constructivly criticise it to make Lichess better.

If they take criticism as insult that's their problem. My words have been intended to draw some attention to a lack of apparent effort by them. Already attempted to fix it...declined? You'll have to explain that a bit more. I would say "already attempted to fix it" is untrue. It's not apparent to me. Anyone want to cooberate his statement?
Who ever is making decisions about what / how to fix things related to this, if there even is such a thing happening, they're doing it poorly.
We aren't crying over it. Jerk for using such terminology. We're angry at the apparent lack of thought that went into this change.
If you screw things up you might just expect to be criticized for that.

This is what has been intended on the posts for this topic.
If you don't discuss problems ... nothing gets done to fix them.
So here is some positive feedback. Which I haven't given much here. I have liked playing here.
But ... there are problems. If problems do not get addressed in a positive manner you are creating a bad atmosphere for the future use of your site. If you aren't strong enough to take criticism ... you need to work on that. Maybe you should realize that by the time someone starts telling you of such problems (which you could have foreseen) there may be more than a few people angry about these problems. What could be little things can be amplified under the wrong circumstances. You know, like if you ignore them; or don't make visible effort to fix them.
Please consider this a place to post your criticisms of the environment on this site.
The new version of the feature is less jarring but we still need an off switch. The devs clearly think they know better than the users. Imagine rolling out a new feature and then getting rid of half of it because the users complain but leaving the other half hoping the users will just give up asking for an off switch. This is so insane. The feature is visible every game you play, and though small change it impacts you. Why not give those that don't want a choice? Or is ego the main deal?
Also not a cool move making the post not rise to the top of the topics on new posts to try and hide it. lol
