That's a shame, thanks for trying at least.

PUT A OFF SWITCH IN PLACE already. Lichess.org. Hello. lack of interaction here is not a good image for you.

That's very disappointing, to put it mildly. Time to apply the userstyle changes, I'm afraid.
So something changed. I just recently finished a game where my opponent resigned after 24 moves. There was no green cup symbol over my king but the other king had a red circle with a white flag within it indicating resignation. Also, in 2 places on screen there was "Black resigned • White is victorious". Better. Still not what it should be. It should either go away completely or there should be a control. Not sure why this is so hard for someone with a normal ego to do. Which may be saying a lot more than is apparent. I also don't prefer moving sparkly stars over the chess board after I've won, nor falling tears when I've lost. BTW since these are stated here I have copyright and intellectual property rights over this so if you use it lichess you owe me money and should ask permission first. Something easy to see in our world; those who are "running things" (and others at times) don't often seek authorization before doing something that really should require an "Ok" first.
Ask permission FIRST. A good rule for our times.
If I wanted chess.com web 0.0 graphics I'd have gone to the green website. I'm so disappointed.

White lost on time and there is a red circular glyph on the white king and nothing on the black king.
There is something wrong with this feature now.

Black resigns just a red flag on the black king and nothing on the white king.
Someone is trying to minimize this feature instead of just giving us an off switch.
I like it
To those who seem to disagree with the concept of "asking permission first"... Go play chess with Putin.
The changes are an improvement but also flagrantly -->"We don't really care what you want"<-- from Lichess.org. Which I VERY MUCH disapprove of.
Lichess.org has not been on it's best behavior with me and I'm discussing this here.
I play many games and also, evidently I'm weird, in that I play quickly. My guess ...is someone was a sore loser and complained I was using a computer program or some such to play against them which in their view was how I played so fast (compared to them, definitely not compared to everyone).
I got a nasty voice message recording from lichess.org over this. Wasn't important enough to remember the words but they did a
"scary voice" on this :- (LoLoLoLoLoL yes I found it funny that they tried this, it was childish of them IMO). Lichess in general does not seem to be good at communication nor at understanding humans. More recent site design is also somewhat questionable.
Why do I play fast? I used to use a PDA to play chess on breaks at work and to get more games in I just "got used" to moving quickly. That's it. I've also been an Analyst and that does help in making decisions quickly in game. Not that every move is fast but ... I just don't see the reason to delay. Yes I've made bad moves. everyone does. I deal with it. I use no extra software in playing games but it seemed lichess was gullible enough to believe that I had at one point. Goofy! If it were a serious question I could play a few games locally with someone else watching the moves I made. I don't consider it a serious question; unless they want to do that to check out everyone who plays quickly (such as many 1 minute games I've seen; watching the advanced players doing fast games makes me think that they have the same potential to screw up in moving during fast play that I do). I chose to play more quickly. Often others lose by running out of time. My advice to them, if you don't want to run out of time play more quickly, or set up longer games.
Lichess.org should be apologizing to me over the message they sent me. Also I did, until I complained about it, get a "verify you're a human" prompt every time I logged in.
For the record as an I.T. worker I have extreme dislike of AI. Due to the potential problems (including moral/ethical issues) and threats involved in it's use all development of that should already have stopped. I would not use an AI to help me play chess; that would be more "make me ill at the thought of it". Friends of mine/former co workers who make frequent use of AI and generally approve of it seem to have lost their minds.
